Meditation

Hi All,
This is me, Hriday. Today's my first day of expressing myself freely for the whole world, so you might want to pardon my over-excitement which could be conveyed to you by my language.

Let's start with something not so easily understood, over-decrypted, but yet vaguely followed concept. A concept which still mesmerizes the amateur and surprises the qualified, the concept of meditation. I call it a concept to express 'it' as a noun, otherwise, it would be nearly impossible for my limited vocabulary to try and express it as a word or act or anything else.

However, back to the topic, 'meditation' has been and is still surprising people, and questioning all the great scientists about their theories which do not suffice in explaining what this is or how it works and other trillions of questions regarding it. In fact, it is still unclear to common people on how to do it; people feel that it is a hyperbole of ancient Hindu sages sitting in a cave for hundreds of years without food doing just one thing: closing their eyes and focusing on nothingness. But, this is true, these accomplished and highly revered sages are capable of doing such and as for the question of nutrition, energy, etc... they harness the energy of the sun or wind or even the Earth itself(for Nicola Tesla himself believed that the Earth is a huge generator of energy). Also, it is not necessary that only these experienced sages can meditate gaining enlightenment or in certain cases 'un-earthly knowledge', even common people like us actually happen to strike luck gaining such valuable pieces of information. For example, Dmitri Mendeleev - The Father of the Periodic Table, once in his speech said that once when he was wondering about the sophisticated arrangement of all the elements in the periodic table, he fell asleep and in his sleep, he dreamt of all known elements to mankind coming before his very eyes and forming a table which he later named as 'The Periodic System'.This is not an accident but a pure incidence of receival of un-earthly knowledge(at the time). And, this surprising fact brings us to the question of the day: what is meditation...?

Answering it would definitely not be a piece of cake but let us try to our fullest potential. So, after quite a lot of time was spent wondering about it(which should have had been spent studying), I came to an understanding which I will explain with an example:

Imagine you are a warrior, you are indulged in a duel with an opponent as competent as you. You are surrounded by a hoard of onlookers some of whom are cheering you while some who are hurling abuses at you. Given that you are not blind you can see all the people around you and given that you are not deaf, you can hear them hooting and whistling about you. But, you remove all these distractions and focus only on your challenger, his body movements, the movement of his sword, his weak points and every other thing an accomplished warrior such as you would notice before clanging your shields. So, to notice all these minute points, what do you do, you remove all these distraction signals received from your eyes and ears and focus all your body organs on a single objective.
Now that, is nothing but meditation and is not at all different from sitting in a cave focusing on your single objective of attaining nothingness. So, even a computer scientist or software developer while creating a new app or project has dedicated his mind only on that project, about its flaws, its plus-points, and everything he could add or should remove from that project is meditating. And so is a person who is passionate about maths when he is solving a challenging problem just for the fun of it. And that is what "meditation" is according to my limited knowledge and exposure. Also, this theory does explain all the success stories of so many people like Bill Gates who have attained success but still have a grounded nature for he was truly dedicated and passionate about his work and was doing nothing else but meditating.

So hey, the key to success: 'Do what you love and love what you do' for you need not always sit down, close your eyes and "focus on nothingness" for becoming something you want to be.
