Meditation(Part 2) with S. Ramanujan
Hi All,
On explaining Akashic Records one could compare it to a Cosmic Browser where every thought, every vibration, every action of every living organism is stored. However, just like Google, for accessing these Records one must have the correct key and also must be capable of entering the exact keywords to successfully perform the search finding what one seeks. However, unlike S.Ramanujan, common people like us are unable to even access these Records, forget about performing a search on it. And, this is what S.Ramanujan explained to his dear friend and mentor - Prof. Hardy. He said that at night when he was asleep, he would be dreaming and in his dream, he would see Goddess Namagiri come before him and then as a paper being unrolled in front of him, he would see numerous formulae undiscovered and unexplained for the whole of humanity, which he would write down in his notebooks on waking up the next day.
This trance state which he would enter during his temple visits were nothing but meditative states. By this, he was able to align the seven Chakras in our Human Body to the cosmic energy flow which actually were the keys that granted him access to what he was looking for or rather what he was fascinated by...Mathematics.
So, as an idol, thinking about the tremendous success he had achieved, I used to wonder about the working of his brain, his thought process which led him to such marvelous discoveries. However, finally, on understanding him, his driving motivation was the belief he had on himself as well as on his work which actually made him what we know today. And, as my unofficial mentor, Srinivasa Ramanujan has immensely conveyed as well as convinced me(which is quite a tough job) about the power and potential of meditation. In fact, I would not think twice about visualizing him as my Meditative Nucleus.
To my Greatest Idol...
Another day's discussion on meditation. However, today's discussion is quite special for it would be through and with The MAN who not only Knew Infinity but also Understood It i.e. along with none other than Srinivasa Ramanujan.
First, on understanding Ramanujan's childhood memories, you would understand that he grew up having a great deal of faith in the ancient Hindu beliefs and would go to a temple near his house at Madras, the temple of Goddess Namagiri. His regular visits to the temple for explorations in Mathematics were often dismissed as another thing added on to his quizzical nature and on searching for him he was often found to be sitting erect in a lotus formation (Padmaasana as referred to in Sanskrit) as if in a trance facing the idol of Namagiri located in the sanctum-sanctorum of the temple. Here, he would either rediscover stuff which he was not taught due to lack of fees as well as qualified teachers or would make epic discoveries in almost every field of mathematics for which he would gain recognition later in his career.
Here, one should note that this talented person was extra-ordinarily gifted for he could easily accomplish a major feat of harnessing the infinite source of knowledge also referred to as Akashic Records.

Three such books of Ramanujan were discovered, namely The First Notebook, The Second Notebook and The Lost Notebook of S.Ramanujan.
And, after understanding all this about this great person it becomes quite quizzical whether one must classify him as a Mahayogi who presented at least a small part of the unending Knowledge of the Universe before humanity or The Greatest Mathematician who could see and explain the invisible.

Also, I would willingly state that the quote by him: "An equation means nothing to me unless it expresses a thought of God"; is and forever would be my infinite source of inspiration which would forever keep me attached to my dearest friend... Mathematics.
To my Greatest Idol...
..." God is mankind's greatest invention"
This is my line of thought on meditation, guided by numerous mentors. So, everyone, do meditate, sparing at least a few minutes, regularly, especially in this loneliness of being quarantined for it is one science which helps you balance yourself as Meditation is a way of nourishing and blossoming the divinity within you.
Let us end with a quote by the great sage Patanjali - "Undisturbed calmness of mind is attained by cultivating friendliness towards the happy, compassion for the unhappy, delight in the virtuous, and indifference towards the wicked."
